Magnesite is a product used in various activities: it can be found in the bag—or backpack—of climbers, gymnasts, and yes, even powerlifters. But why do both artistic gymnasts and powerlifters use magnesium? Simple: magnesium carbonate—the real name of magnesite—is essentially a white powder that dries the hands and keeps them dry, thanks to its antiperspirant properties. Consequently, when we use magnesite for powerlifting, we get an excellent grip, with a firm hold on our barbells. In short, magnesite in weightlifting and other sports serves the fundamental purpose of keeping sweat at bay, or rather, eliminating it completely. Here, on this page, we present magnesite for powerlifting and, to truly satisfy everyone, we offer it in various formats: you can find it in powder, block, Power Ball, and liquid forms. But below, you will find more than just magnesite: for gyms that pay close attention to everything, we have also created a convenient container specifically designed for magnesite: equipped with wheels for easy movement around the gym, it features multifunctional hooks for barbell clamps, rubber bands, and much more. Most likely, however, you are wondering what the differences are between one type of magnesite and another: let's find out together!

Powerlifting Magnesium

The most common and classic magnesite in the world of weightlifting as well as climbing is powdered magnesite. It is simply magnesite in its elemental state, sold in bags of various sizes. This product, obviously, thoroughly magnesites the hand, providing a certain level of confidence and allowing for very quick use. However, it is not the best product to use indoors: it is a powder that, when used, creates a true cloud that athletes will subsequently inhale. Where possible, it's better to avoid it. Then there is the magnesite ball, which consists of bags filled with powder that, when squeezed, release powder onto the hands without creating a cloud. Below, you will also find block magnesite, which is manually broken inside the magnesite holder. Finally, there is the most "unusual" version, liquid magnesite, a mixture of magnesium and alcohol that does not release powder into the air, onto clothes, or equipment. And you, which one do you prefer?
