Ana Maria Vitelaru is a Paracycling athlete in the H5 category. At just 17 years old, she faced one of life’s toughest challenges following a tragic accident, turning adversity into opportunity and finding strength in sports to be reborn. After an initial experience in wheelchair basketball, she discovered handbike racing in 2017, inspired by the legendary Alex Zanardi. Since then, she has become a prominent figure in the Italian National Team, earning prestigious international accolades, including a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
